Comcast Remote Codes?!?!?!?
I am trying to program my Comcast Remote (Silver Remote with Red OK/Select Button) to work on my TV. The problem is when I have the remote in cable mode I can not adjust the volume on my TV. When I put the remote in TV mode I can not use cable features like the guide. My TV is a Samsung UN55C6500VF. Please help, I have tried the three codes provided by Comcast. The TV and box are hooked up with a HDMI cable.
Kg7or, those codes are not for my remote control. My remote requires 5-digit codes. Thanks for trying though.
Just figured it out! I had to Lock Volume Control to TV:
1. Hold setup till it flashes.
2. Enter 993
3. Press TV or AUX to lock volume.

That would be correct.

That would not be correct. What you're describing is an incorrect code from the Comcast list. There are five codes there, not three (see the link). Try all five, testing all functions with each. Be sure the remote is in CABLE mode when you try it.
One of those should definitely work on your modern Samsung. If you still have trouble, call Comcast tech support. It should be working.
