why is there a thin red line down my samsung tv?
My warranty just ran out, first there was a thin yellow line on the left of the tv, now its red, it's a 40 inch samsung lcd, i hope its nothing that bad, this tv cost me alot! Please help!
SAMSUNG is known to use cheap capacitors. More than likely one or more is blown & or leaking and need to be replaced. They usually do this right after the warranty period. I had this happen to my 32in. It was $75 for them to diagnose and I was quoted $400+ to fix. I fixed mine myself after a quick trip to radio shack. Email me I will help if I can. There are certain capacitor makers to avoid. There is a class action law suit going on you might be able to join.
