Samsung factory refurbished tv?
Hello.
I recently purchased a refurbished Samsung tv on Ebay. It's one of the new LED models. I am having a little buyers remorse because just today I saw the exact tv for the same price, brand new, with an extended warranty...also on eBay. The one I bought is, like I said, refurbished and only carries a 90-day warranty from Samsung. What should I do? I'm really wondering why it was refurbished and if there's anything wrong with it. There are extended warranties for sale on eBay and am wondering if I should buy one?
I truly hope I didn't just throw away close to $2,000. Maybe the warranty is the way to go? Would the warranty, do you know, cover a refurbished model or does the tv have to be new?

BTW, the warranty costs about $130.
Refurbished TVs come totally certified, and are usually up to brand new specifications. Spending a lot on a TV often causes buyers remorse. My friend once bought a 52" Sharp for $3,000, only to see prices drop to nearly half that a year later. In general however warranties are a rip-off (see Dave Ramsey's website).
If it would help with the remorse I would say buy the warranty for peace of mind. $130 sounds like a good deal. I had to pay $99 on a floor model I bought for $799 for an extended five year warranty from RCWilley.
Contact the warranty people or read the fine print to see if they will cover it. If the warranty is from SquareTrade it looks like you are in good shape! Check out the following on their website:
