to get the most out of an hdtv what will i need?
im about to buy a samsung LN55C630 55'' lcd tv
with 5:1 surround sound

i need help with what i will need cable and reciever stuff to get the most out of my hdtv
i heard you need different types of stuff or the picture wont be good
can you tell me what i need?
also i have insight cable company,
should i switch for better hd channels?
1. Subscribe to the HD channel package with Insight, and get their HD DVR. You won't be happy with just the standard-def digital channels.
2. Connect from the Insight DVR directly to your home theater amp with an optical cable for best surround sound.
3. Connect a second input on the home theater amp to the auxiliary audio output jacks on the TV. You'll want this when viewing a source other than the cable box.
4. Connect from the DVR to your TV with an HDMI cable for the best video transfer.
5. Be very sure that you buy a good surge protector and plug everything into it--TV, DVR, home theater amp, etc. Get one with a joule rating of at least 1000, and 4000 would be better. It's cheap and necessary insurance for a few thousand dollars worth of equipment. Don't buy it at Best Buy or Radio Shack where you'll pay too much--you can find a good one in the electrical department of a large hardware store. In the U.S., look for the UL label and a clamping voltage of 330 volts.
