I have a samsung tv and it doesnt say it is hd ready yet it accepts 1080p images????
i have a Samsung LE22A457C1D 22" tv it doesnt actually say it is hd ready on the television however on all the internet sites it says it is hd ready with a resolution of 1680x1050, it has a hdmi port and can accept all 1080p images from my blu ray player and xbox 360 why is this??????
Accepting an 1080p signal is totally different from displaying in 1080p. I did not look up your set, but my take is that it if says it has 1050 lines, then it will not display using 1080p. However, you will still have a display that works fine for blu-ray.
HD ready means it can display an HD signal and HD signals are 720p, 1080i, or 1080p but that it does not have a tuner to receiver broadcast signals.
