do you need an internet connection to create a wireless home network?
I've got a Samsung Series 5 Plasma with wirless DLNA capability. However I do not have a "wired" broadband. All I got is a USB-dongle dial-up broadband.
I heard that if I can buy a wireless router, I might be able to connect my wirless lan-enable laptop with the TV, so that I can stream stuff to the TV from my study.
Is this possible? Do I need a "wired" BB connection? or can the wirelss router broadcast a signal without the internet inside my house?

You can indeed use a wireless router for a LOCAL network without having any internet!
A wireless router will indeed allow local systems to work on the local level without any broadband connection. However, you will not have Internet access from the local network unless you have an internet connection.
