Black horizontal lines on samsung tv?

I have a 42" samsung tv, It is NOT a plasma. Anyway I have black horizontal lines through out the screen they are not really solid lines (kind of dotted) but they do fill the entire screen and they stay on the screen at all times. Anyone know what this could be? maybe the bulb? I have tried to talk to samsung help center.. they said they have never heard of the horizontal lines, I have tried to talk to the people I bought it from (best buy) but they don't help. Thanks everyone!

They are lying to you. I have the same exact TV and had the same problem. I hope you are within warranty; if you are, ask them for a new TV. I can't remember what the problem is called, but I know the lines will get bigger and bigger until you have no picture!
