How do I mount a 50" Plasma on a Brick fireplace wall?
Ok so we have a Samsung 50 inch Plasma TV that we just got, we want to mount above our fireplace, we have checked the temp. and what not of the fireplace when there is a fire in it and its fine... The biggest problem we have run into is that our fireplace wall is brick... There are no studs (that makes sense yes?) or if they are the stud finder is unable to detect stud from brick. We have a swivel mount that waights a good 40lbs so in total I want to guess the tv + mount is about 150lbs. How do we safely mount this? I dont want to wake up to a loud thud and our new TV on the ground in pieces. I have been trying to read how to do this and there isnt much info online. I dont know what type of brick it is, its a standard brick size though it a s light color brick. I have cement anchors... will this be sufficent? HELP HOW DO WE DO THIS!?!?!?!?
