Making Resolution on TV higher from computer?
I have my 42" LG tv connected to my computer via HDMI cable and I was wondering if it it possible to make the resoultion higher than 1920 x 1080. My main monitor is a 22" samsung which runs at that resolution and I like to use the tv for watching tv and playing games, But the quality is low since it only seems to stretch it to about 40" size, then there's a black area around the picture.

No. The native resolution of HDTVs top out at 1920x1080. That's as high as they will go.
If you are getting a black border around the image, that's because you got Image Underscan set somewhere (either on the TV or in your graphics card's drivers). You need to disable that for the image to fill the screen edge-to-edge.
