i have a Samsung 40" LCD HDTV 1080p 60 hz television. how do i clean the SCREEN?
it came with a cloth that shows a few pictures on cleaning it. BUT ONLY THE PERIMETER, NOT THE ACTUAL SCREEN. once picture shows the cloth being used on the frame of the t.v. the other picture shows a bottle labeled water being sprayed on the cloth. i read the T.V. manual, nothing, NOTHING was said about how to clean it. i assume i can use water. but some T.V.'s can be harmed by water, or chemicals. i don't recall the model number so i hope that isn't a problem. i've onle wiped the screen with that cloth, but no liquid of any kind since i bought it in november. PLEASE HELP!
so using water is ok on the screen? then why do some LCD HDT.V.'s use chemicals?
Just use a slightly damp and extremely soft cloth to clean it. Use a very light touch, since LCD screens are very sensitive. I've been doing it that way on my computer monitor for years now with no problems. DO NOT use any chemicals (windex, etc.) as you could potentially damage the screen. A lint-free cloth works best usually.
