LED Edge Lit,Full Array. What to buy?
i recently purchased a samsung LED edge lit tv. (un46c6500) and i was getting lighter areas in the bottom 2 corners, and a lighter blotch in the upper middle of the tv. ive noticed on forums of this being something that seems a bit common in the edge lit LED's. so then i checked out the full array and read alot about "blooming" of whites bleeding into dark areas? ive checked cnet for lg's 47LE8500 and it had a slight "blooming" problem. so at the moment i dont know what to go with. ide rather not go with plazma because i do like the fake or home video look of the 120 and 240hz LCD LED's. plus the lifespan difference. please, any recommendations on a good solid tv around or under the $2,000? i would appreciate any. Thanks.
Check out the Sharp LE700 series LCD televisions with full array LED back lighting. Top quality with great pricing. I recently purchased the 32". I was sold after seeing the 52" Sharp next to the Samsung and Panasonic plasmas. The image quality, vivid colors, clarity, back light uniformity, and black levels on the Sharp were far superior to the plasmas, or any other LCD. I had to look closely because the black levels were so good that the black bars from the 16:9 ratio at the top and bottom of the screen were as black as the bezel of the television itself. Really worth a look if you're not satisfied with offerings from Samsung or other brands. Also, lifespan for the Sharp is rated at 100,000 hours, twice that of most others brands.
