Running windows @ 240Hz?
I have a 55" Samsung 8000 LED and was wondering is there was any way to make windows run at 240 Hz? I have Windows 7 RTM with a GTX 295 h2o and latest drivers(I don't have the driver for the monitor because I don't think they made one for this TV).
I have used programs like ReForce and had no luck, also there are really no refresh rates higher than 1920x1080 60 Hz in nVidia control panel or windows advanced video settings.
Any help or advice would be appreciated as I have limited knowledge when it comes to refresh rates.
I know that there are cards out there that run 240 Hz, but the GTX 295 only goes up to 120 Hz, though your computer may not support that.
TVs are typically not the best choices for monitor-replacements, as most video cards are not optimized for performance on such screens. However, I'm sure you'll do fine at 60Hz. It doesn't matter, the human eye has difficulty seeing the difference past that point.
