What you guys think about Insignia HD Tvs. Are they Good ?
I Need a HD TV and i know a little about them, like Samsung i know is very good and LG are as well. Insignia is a Best Buy store brand but LG makes them. Im thinking of getting a 32 inch Insignia 1080p 120Hz
LED-LCD for $479. I need your guys help and thoughts about the The TV. Is it a good buy ? Is it in the same place as other high top brands ? And are they really GOOD ? Please let me know , Thank you
Insignia is Best Buy's house brand, and it's generally considered a low-end budget brand. Insignias rate very poorly when compared against the competition in professional lab testing.
Also, when considering a purchase at Best Buy, check into their return policy. It used to be the worst in the industry, but they've started to ease up a little, at least during temporary promotions. Still, they don't compare to the likes of Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, Target and maybe others that will take the set back with no questions asked for a full refund within a limited period.

Followup: if you are impressed by another answer that stresses the component parts of Insignia TVs, or on-line review of them, just spend a little time researching professional lab test results. On-line opinions, for the most part, are unprofessional and anecdotal. The pros with well-equipped labs are best able to evaluate which model of which brand is truly delivering the better performance, objectively measured through side-by-side testing with a great many sets.
If you do that, you'll find that Insignias almost never appear on the top ten or top 25 lists resulting from such professional testing, and in those rare instances that they do, they're well down the list. The ref below provides a prime example.
So suit yourself. Go by on-line opinions, go by the structural makeup of the set, or go by real-world test results of a great many sets conducted by bona-fide experts Your call.
