What happens if I replace a 1000uF 10v capacitor with a 1000uF 50v capacitor on a LCD monitor board?

It's the rating 1000uf that counts not the voltage. 50 volts is a little over kill. Your replacing them probably because the tops are bulged. 25's are usually cheaper and will be just fine.
